Now to my Question
I am sorry if this is a stupid question

Actually I am interning at Novell under the programme NOSIP (Novell Open Source Internship Program). I am doing this as my final year project.

The Title of the project they have give to me is just "GNOME"

The activities we will be doing is first building gnome seperately on our machine by making use of JHBUILD. and we have to fix a minimum of 2 defects within a month.

But In my college people don't agree if I give the project title as simply "Gnome"
They say Gnome is already there what did u do?

Can u suggest me some title's?
like....
Gnome ( Fixing Bugs & Enhancements ) etc.,

hi,

I have a suggestion for your project.

I am not a programmer so a genral suggestion only.

You could make an enhanced gnome, like one which integrates "gdesklets" for example like ximian gnome is novells enhanced gnome? or dropline gnome which is anither enhanced gnome?

You could then focus on changing incorporating new features - what exactly youll have to see based on what you feel comfortable with.

There are many enhancements you could do to the GUI for example-

the best way would be to write on paper what you feel is missing and see if you could add in that.

regards

Hi oldmonk,

I think you have misunderstod what I've said!

I am already in the process of fixing the bugs. that is.. I am doing the project! . The title of the project as given by Novell is "Gnome". I need a better title that's it. Since people in our college say they need a better title! than just gnome (may be like [Gnome Enhancement & Bug Fixing] etc.,)

Please give your suggestions for a good project Title

Regards,
