Default xmms in fedora.


i downloaded xmms and vlc rpm's from net....how do i know if they will work on my 'stock' fc5.(dependancy prob's)....

rather u may have xmms from fedora source itself using `system-config-packages` and 4 vlc and all i'll say u try setting up yum on ur FC machine.

@Romeo, the better way to install XMMS & VLC is through Yum , here is the procedure:
$ su -
(Enter root password)
$ yum -y install xmms xmms-mp3
This will install XMMS in Fedora. Wait until the Installation is complete.

$ yum -y install videolan-client
This will install VLC Player. Wait for the Installation to complete.

This is the proper way to install the packages, Yum will install the package & also
the dependency packages.
