If you really want a window manager which is light on resources, try ratpoison.

If the problem in Ubuntu is debian based, then go this won't help much as this is again debian based distro.
So, it will as always have solid support from the debian community.

Re: ELive Linux!!!
Yes, Debian-based distros are superior than the RPM based ones. @Prakash, it's due
to lack of understanding. What can we say. Thank you all for the compliments.
@Gary, if you like 'ELive' Linux. Then download & install it.

Re: ELive Linux!!!
@Gary, You wastage electricity & also the bandwith!! Better buy it from www.buylinuxdvd.com
Buy a Fedora 5 DVD (32-bit) bootable for Rs 99/- + Courier charges.
You won't get a Fedora DVD cheaper than that!!

To be frank I can't find one decent theme for e16, my icewm windows manager on puppy linux looks way better than anything I can get for enlightenment.

Re: ELive Linux!!!
They have stopped free downloads. Yesterday I added to flashget from one of the mirrors given on the page and 72% of 700MB complted but today 403- forbidden error came.. So checked download page.. I think u have to donate to download although a FREE SLOW SERVER link is provided which doesnt opened for me. My bad luck!!! Just one day if they have delayed then I would have completed it today.

Re: ELive Linux!!!
If that's not the way then you can donate them some money prakash. You know bandwidth doesn't come for free. And this ain't a distro with big community, like debian. These people should be able to afford it.
I don't see anything wrong in them charging for it.
