fedora core 5 + ubuntu

i have installed windows vista and windows xp with ubuntu 6.06 on my pc

i wanna know whether i can install fedora core5 with parallel to ubuntu.


means will two linuxs work together

if i install fedora now will my ubuntu work correctly or it will be corrupted/////


plz reply fast as i have fedora dvd only for 2 hours so i have to install it now

u can install fedora core 5 without any second thought.

and u can share the swap partition to save space.

what abt grub and boot menu loaders of both...will they be merged or what

@Desmataks, The bootloaders of both (Ubuntu & Fedora) won't be merged.
Whichever O.S you install last will write the bootloader in the MBR. In your case Fedora
will write it's bootloader (GRUB) in the MBR. Anyway, even if Fedora is not showing
Ubuntu in the boot menu, you can make it appear by editing the GRUB's file.

I dunno if both will go well with each other. Some label problems with FC5 gave me a very hard time dual booting it with Ubuntu. Grub of one wouldn't boot the other. Otherwise there's no problem multibooting linux systems. I dunno if anyone has dual booted FC5 and Ubuntu 6.06. But, I am not trying it again, Ubuntu and SLED working fine for me now.

plz tell me where can i get libexpat.so.1 library dependency for fedora core 5

i installed fedora 5 after ubuntu ....but now only fedora works i.e. only grub loader of fedora comes there is no boot menu of ubuntu..

SO how could i run ubuntu and add its boot option to fedora's bootloader

jguru told that it could be done by editing grub's file..

plz tell me how to do that..
