Unhappy help on linux installation!

I have an Hp pavilion a810i pc with windows xp home pre installed
it had a 40 GB harddisk with two partitions C: and D: C is the user partition
and D is recovery partition i bought a new 80 GB sata harddisk and attached it to my pc and partitioned it into 4 each contains 20 GB now my compuetr has
six partitions in total C,D,E,F,G,H I tried to install fedora core 4 by partitioning
drive H i created two partition's on H: one primary which has 19 GB approx
and left the other partition 1GB for swap and I started installtion everything went fine and fedora automaticaly identified the windows partition and I continued
installation and finished everything fine and after that i was prompted for a
restart . I restarted my Pc and the grub screen showed the boot choice menu
which included two, one for windows and other for fedora but When I selected the option to boot in to windows instead of my windows xp the system booted
in to the Hp recovery program which included in the Drive D: which I mentioned
earlier. how can I correct this problem ?

please help

Give me the output of
Code:
fdisk -l
and the contents of /etc/grub.conf or of /boot/grub/menu.lst. I guess FC uses the first one.
