Error while installin Kubuntu5.10

Hi guyz
After a long time i decided to install linux(Kubuntu 5.10) on my pc.but I get the following error while installing Kubuntu 5.10(the one came with digit dvd jan 06 issue)

"unable to install initrd tools"
and the installation of the base system stops!
i also have windows xp sp2 on my other partition.
my config : PIV 3.06 GHz Seagate SATA 80.0 GB 512 mb ram.
please help!!!!

How much space have you given to the linux partition? Maybe you haven't given enough space.

Could be a corrupt media too, FC5 sometimes said that for OOo 2.0

@Sudeepg, Give the details , how much space you have allocated for root ('/')
& swap ? You must allocate atleast 7 GB for root & 1.5 GB for swap.
