this is what i can see in my device manager hardware tab.. for any of the windows versions, i installs my modem driver from SMC3056IM folder given on the driver cd provided by the manufacturer with the modem. i have redhat 9 kernel version is 2.4.20-8 (i686) & also mandrake 10.1 kernel version 2.6.8.1-12 (i686/tty1) I have P3 800MHz Ram:320MB Hdd:40GB motherboard:810 i want to connect to internet through these linux plz help me to find the full version linux drivers of my modem. Mostly your Modem won't work since Redhat doesn't provide drivers for locally
made Modems. D-Link modem will work well. Also why you are using very old RedHat Linux 9.1? You must use Fedora , Ubuntu or Mandriva , Suse Linux distros. See if the Modem manufacturer has a website & search for Linux drivers from website. Last edited by JGuru; 16-08-2006 at 12:42 AM. |
