amaroK NTFS Problem !

I'm Using Kubuntu 6.06 . amaroK Is not playing songs from my NTFS partition , when i copy these songs onto my ext3 partition they play fine . any solution ?

What exactly r u doing?. I mean, r u

1. Opening ur ntfs partition & doubleclicking the file that u want to play
or

2. r u opening amarok & then opening the files from there

Also r u getting any error message?

Maybe you're having encryption problems, or permission problems. ntfs files have a different permission structure, maybe amarok is not equipped to deal with that.

Hmm.. amaroK plays fine with NTFS here!

Same with kalpik, I just added the media/drive to my Library and it plays it well enough.

well i've tried both ways , the files have no extra permissions ( they're accessible by all ) , when i double click on them amaroK opens up but files don't play , when i copy them onto linux partition and double click , they play fine .

hmmm.. this is strage. Try opening them up with some other program (like xine, mplayer, etc). Atleast lets try to isolate the problem as to whether it is an amorok issue or something else.
