Question Linux Installation


I am totally new to installation process and file system.I am using Win XP and having 4 partition (C:,D:,E:,F: ).XP being installed in C:\.I am having 40 GB HDD.

I want to install Linux and want to have a dual-boot machine.How should I start.

Please tell me the procedure for installing Linux with existing Win XP.

first use a live cd... u dont need to install it....
jus boot 4m it... and see if u r comfortable with it.....
then install it if u like it....
