Exclamation New Linux user - Solutions & sugestions invited


hi guys,

yesterday i managed to install Fedora core 5 (64 bit) on my system
well the look & feel is good & yesterday itself i devoted 2 Hrs to get a feel of the system

well this is my first distro so i even dont know L of linux
so first of all please advise me how to do some basic things like

1. Install a application on linus
2. Mount/View my NTFS/windows drives( i am using a SATA HDD)
3. How to update driver of any perticular device
4 can there is something like device manager in linux

please guys i really want to learn linux once i will master the basic things the path ahead will be very easy(atleast i think so)

so please give ur suggestions/ solutions
