I prayed to God thousand times b4 installing RH9 that xserver prob shud not rise. but it happened. After installing, RH9, and reboot..everything worked properly then the next day when I entered, it says XServer cannot be started and two modules namly bitmap, pcidata are not found. So, the OS will stay in text mode. The modules are in /usr/X11R6/lib i think so.. when i tried opening that directory it says I/O error. Same problem is faced by many of them I think so (found when googled) but none of them have told the solution Plsease help me. I googled for the same problem and found nothing useful. thank u very much. |
