Default Red hat Linux 9


Hey
I have got triple parttion in my system. Windows XP, Windows 2003 and RHL 9. I want to know how to access windows files in rhl9. I am unable to that. plz helpme

hi bbs ,welcome to the forum.
All queries related to linux should be posted in Open Source Section.
Browse the Open Source section so you will get more info.

To acess windows partition in RHL 9 you have to edit
/etc/fstab and append the following line(if you have fat 32 file system)
/dev/hda1/mnt/c vfat defaults 0 0
same process for other drives.

For NTFS you have to install linux-ntfs driver to acess parttion.You can get it from sourceforge.net or just Google

Btw RHL 9 is very old , I think you should go for FC5 or FC 4.

Oldies Plz correct me if I am wrong ?
