How to create image using partimage ?

Hi all,
I downloaded Partimage 0.6.4 (binary tarball).
I am also having Knoppix live cd , Please tell me how to create Fedora core 3 image using partimage via knoppix .

since i am newbie please tell me the detail steps to install partimage and to create image of Fedora.

what do you want to achieve...do u want to create .iso images..from fedora 3 cdroms?
get any distro like debian or ubuntu installed in ur harddisk and try partimage.
apt-get install partimage apt-get install partimage-doc
then "man partimage" for details.this is self undrstandable.

He wants to use knoppix to create an image of fc3 installation in his harddisk partition.. may be why not try installing part image within knoppix and use it to create image of u'r FC install.. ny ways u need space on the harddrive for the image. It would be helpful if you could post how your partitions are arranged.. ie the partiton information of hardrive and also what partitions u wanna backup using partimage.

I succesfully created image of FC, but the following
message box comes in knoppix every first time i use.

Dialog box heading "I node missing"

" /dev/cloop0 inode doesn't exists.partimage can create it for you. you can also use the manual mknod command.Do you want this inode to be created for you now? "
yes (or) no.

I simply clicked yes .

What it means ?
Images which i already created will work properly when i restore it ?
