Default Problem using Wine Packages in Linux?

HI friends!
I guess that most of you have tried wine package to run .exe win32 programs in linux!
But, I am unable to run I have installed it in Mandrake 10 and tried typing 'wine program.exe' in terminal and a creepy code appeared scrolling in few pages and ended. I am unable to understand the code!
Can anyone of you guide me how to run these wine packages!
It would be helpful to other people to who are wondering how to run .exe files in linux.
