Default KDE vs GNOME

Hi All,

I should say with this post i am just trying to get a poll/opinion from all u linux users out there. I just want to know which X window system do u use along with ur linux desktop.

Is it KDE or GNOME??

I have seen the discussion catching a lot of attention everywhere so hope to see the same effect here.

Also which Linux Distribution are u using currently??

Come on Linux Users

I will tell u mine

Desktop Window System - GNOME 2.12
Linux Distro - Ubuntu 5.10

Your turn.

The KDE environment of Suse 10 is an eye-grabber.

Guys, watch out for XGL which is going to be included with Ubuntu Dapper (and of course SuSE also)

That'll make you think twice about commenting on GNOME

That's true. And there's something similar from Red Hat too, named AIGLX.

There's gonna be a war in 3D realm.

Gnome is a lot more refined in terms of looks and usability but needs to catch up with KDE where no. of apps are concerned.
