Default client not resolving IP

we have a DNS server for our private Intranet having linux server(redaht 9) . We have made web pages and put it in var/webs/ .
The site name is resolved from the server but it is not being resolved by all client of the network. But we can access pages using IP address of the server.(Typing ip add in the address bar of the browser)

We have also included the server's ip address in the preferred DNS server of the client computer.
But still it is not working.
What may be fault.
Please help.

Is the DNS, a registered DNS address?
Otherwise you may need to implement a /etc/hosts based naming.

Check if there is an entry for nameservers in /etc/resolv.conf like

NAMESERVERS 192.168.0.254

check this on all client machines.
