Default can't install linux


hi guys
i can't install fedora core 4 which has been burned from digit dvd
i can't post that error message since i can't be copied
my config
is 2.8ht intel and 915gav original mother board
there can't be any problem in cds or the source dvd coz i have tried in
differnt cds and from chip dvd also


if i boot with the cdrom it boots up if i prress enter to boot

it initializes the kernal and stucks over there

Copy the error or write it down somewhere & post it exactly as it was.
I'll move this topic to Open Source so that you may get better answers there after you post the error message.

i had that problem too..... its stucks at mount point at 0. i get it through the option ASK ME. try with this

I tried to install linspire 5.0, only after three attempts it worked but it crashed as soon as I clicked start menu and then I had to install XP again to formatt my hdd.

Linspire is not a very good distro.If FC4 fails try Ubuntu or OpenSuse or Mandrake.

Linspire will be coming in new OSS avataram as squiggle(freespire) i think.

@aditya:
Try the following switch might work:
linux noprobe
linux acpi=off
linux vga=791
If you have a nvidia base gfx card the installation will end at...

unable to initialise agp_gart
Or Sumthing like that, I'm getting the same error.
Try linux text It can also solve the problem...
