hi i know that this prob has been solved earlier but still

my xp has overwtittren fc 4..
i dont have booot floppy disk of fc4... i have grub startup disk.... can i install grub with its floppy(i dont have any means whatsover to start up fc 4 )

put ur FC4 1st cd and boot.in prompt type 'linux rescue'.go through it until it
mounts the selected partition.type 'chroot /mnt/sysimage'.after type 'grub-install /dev/hdx',where x is the partition number.if SCSI disk,it will be
'grub-install /dev/sdx'
