Default SUSE 9.3 prof VS SUSE 10 any Idea?

well I am a SUSE linux user & I love it .

SuSE is not renowned for having the speediest release out there. SuSE 9.3 is fabulous - the most functional and solid linux release I have ever used - but it is not fast. Slow is a relative term of course. To put some numbers to it, SuSE boots up from GRUB prompt to KDE desktop in about 1 1/2 minutes on my 1.4 GHz P4 machine.

So please tell me
1. which is the fastest linux ?

and suse 10 .....I mean SUSE Bangalore Version is coming on next month . 2. SO what fields will be upgraded ?3. Do anyone have any comparison chart ? will Novel include some some softwares ?

 I heard SuSE 7.x 8.x versions had more # of CDs than in 9.* ? what were the contents ?

Speed would really depend on the software you use, rather than the distribution. The most important thing would be the desktop environment/window manager you use. As suse uses KDE by default, its bound to be a bit slow. You can install XFCE, IceWM or fluxbox, to get quite a good increase in speed.

Distributions like Slackware, Vector or Gentoo would perform faster than Suse, but a lot of this speed difference can be achieved by switching to a lighter window manager.

Is SuSE 10 available now? I mean the FINAL version and not the BETA one. Has anyone got the CDs?
Actually, a few days ago, I had asked if anyone has got SuSE 9.3 Pro CDs. @navneeth_snr ventured for it but I had exams and so could not send the order. But if SUSE 10 is available I would rather go for SuSE 10??
