Default How to auto turn off monitor?


In windows we can give the time say auto turnoff monitor after 1 minute.These feature avaliable in red hat 9.0??If so how to use??help me.

go to your xscreensaver and check the make aware of power management

go to command as root and type "shutdown -h -t 10"
Thiswill shutdown ur PC after 10 seconds!

He dosent want to shut down his computer, he only wants to turn off the monitor.

Huh, can U turn off power of PC speakers from any software or can u turn off printer from software provided by it?? Talk mature!
U cant turn off monitor power except manually by hand by pressing its button or by switching Off main power GET IT?

Dear Mr.mediator

You can definetly turn off your monitor after some specified amount of time.

In windows you can very well do this from the power options.

This guy wants to do it in LINUX.

GET IT?
