Truth is Truth mp3 quality is better in linux btww the same cant b said abt wma. Once i thought linux lacks in multimedia capabilities until Amarok came in. The sound of classicals and pop are crystal clear. Iam hearing subtitles i never noticed b4.

MP3 quality of a MP3 file remains the same across all platforms

However, the quality of your experience depends on the right drivers for your sound cards. If you install the best available, then quality is good. If you install some generic one, quality won't be too good.

So quality of MP3 is platform independent.
