Default ubuntu 11.04 showing some HDD error


I want to install ubuntu 11.04 on my computer and booted with live cd(USB).if i try to open any of my HDD partition i will get some error like failed to mount.actual error mssage you can see it in screen shot.

What is the file system on the hard disk that you are trying to access using Live CD?

maybe you have hibernated your windows 7.
if not, then
type df in the terminal to see the currently mounted partitions and their mount points.

Its in NTFS format.i have not hibernated it,I just restarted the system and entered ubuntu using usb.i will check and post the result of df.thank you.

Boot to Windows, schedule a disk scan, reboot, let the disk scan complete and then reboot into Ubuntu.

ok guys here is another screen shot of gpart.which may give more information and that df command returns with an error that "cannot read table of mounted file systems: Input/output error".

try this in terminal.
sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt
and post the output.
