Default software installation in fedora 15

I downloaded .tar.bz2 file. How can it be installed in fedora 15 and mint 11.

There are 2 types of software installation you can do.

1) Compile from sources
2) Install from binaries.

Additionally, you can do these things using package manager as well. In case of Fedora, its yum.

Now, coming to your question, did you download the source or is it binary?

Okay. So most probably, you have downloaded the binary. You can extract the file and run firefox (bin file)
