Default Ubuntu problem....help me.


hi pals
i'm not able to use UNITY on Ubuntu 11.04
on my first boot after installation, a dialog box said that you hardware does not support unity and blah blah blah.


My computer's configuration is as follows:

Intel motherboard [dunno which version]
GPU: nVidia Geforce 8400 512MB
CPU: Intel dual core processor 2.7Ghz
TVS keyboad and Mouse
2.1 speakers
Samsung LCD monitor 18.5 inch
2GB RAM
320 GB hard Disk

i know that this hardware can easily support unity but its not.
please help me to solve my problem so that i can use unity.

i'm not able to install the .run file. Googled a lot but in vain.

if you are in gnome classic, go to applications>administrative>install 3rd party drivers (or something like that)

just check one of the 3 menus

else check for a icon in the notificantion area in the shape of a green card.
