can anyone teach me how to install new softwares in Suse linux....please tell this step wise...I am new to linux..

Try to use synaptic package manager...

good package manager and easy to use , no tut needed cordin to me...

I tried installing several linux softwares such as acrobat reader and JDK1.5 etc., What i Did was i ran the script file using sh command. I donot know about other Distros. I use Red Hat (Fedora Upgraded) Xandros.

If you are using Fedora then go to freshrpms.net and download all the software you nees as an rpm file so you can just double click it to install.Just use one distro.Don`t keep changing.
