FEDORA 4 DIAL UP PROBLEM

Guys , i want to enable pulse dial in kppp WITHOUT using the terminal.

Also, i tried writing ATP in the initialization line of modem commands, but the modem still dials in tone...

Does ny one have a soln for this, my line doesnt support tone dialling(BSNL).

Try to append p in the dialed phone number.
I mean if the number to be dialled is 172233, then replace it with p172233.
Try it.

Well u can try ATX1 initialization to bypass tone dialing!

I found mine as well ...

Change the DIal String in the modem commands section of KPPP modem config to ATDP and Enjoy...
