Minix! I want to test it.

I want to test out the minix OS. http://www.cs.vu.nl/pub/minix/

But I have a few queries.....

I don't want to install on my system now!. can it be run on floppies or CDRoms?

Is it possible to run minix just like a Linux Live cd?

I don`t think minix has a gui mode.Its just like unix build from sratch.

You can get minix on CD (in book of tanunbaum of OS) but you have to use floppies to install it. And I remember that I lose my partition table when I was trying

U dont get a CD with that book. I bot tat book last sem n there was no CD in it.
