Default Download manager


Any good multi-threaded download manager for linux?

I have 8 Mbps connection,so want download managers that gives good speed.
is there any thing like this ?

Having that spees dont require DM anyway

Check out D4x not sure about multithreading but it gives full download speed, I have matched its speed with FDM in windows.

Prozgui and Axel (CLI) are probably the only DM that support muliti-threaded downloads in Linux.
Prozgui also supports searching for mirrors.

download manager I need for huge dlding,like DVD isos and for resumable and fast download.
dunno why don't make port of flashget for linux?!!

Why don't you write to Flashget programers? May be they will start a fork if they get enough requests

At the speed you are even the firefox dwolload manager can do that. It gives fast download and can resume it too. The whole point of multithreaded download manager was to make good use of old telephone net connections.

So I think you can go right ahead and use any of d4x or kget.

Nothing like wget . It has features that those flashes and the likes can never dream of. I explored some of its features and am wondering how much more i have to learn about wget.

wget -c can be use for pause stuffs!
