Default Vector Linux again


Hi,
the mods may merge this thread with this

Anyway
How do i access pdf documents in Vector Linux .
U see i havent installed GUI.
So i wanted to know if there is a way of viewing .pdf files either directly or
if there is a command specifically for vector linux to convert .pdf to .txt?
i tried pdf2txt et al

I believe that the software xpdf comes with a conversion tool called pdftotext, now xpdf is an X Windows based tool, but pdftotext is probably a console program, so it should work without problems
