Ubuntu is the most popular one, followed by Mandriva and then Fedora. Proof?

If you want a Windows clone, go for Xandros. Desktop 3 was given by Chip in May 2005. Installable linspire has not been given by our Indian compuiter mags, but it too is a Windows clone.

Just one thing...Xandros sucks.
If you want to limit yourself to things Xandros has preconfigured then well and good but the moment you want to start doing things your way then you will what Xandros actually is.
If you just want something to move away from Windows then you are better off with SuSE or Mandriva.

Hmmm Ive had an easy time with Mandrake Linux 10.1 but recently I installed Ubuntu and Im having plenty of fun with it. For ease of use I think these 2 rocks .

Check out www.distrowatch.com also.
