Smile Google Chrome for Linux now available as Beta


I am not sure if its posted elsewhere (at least I didn't see it). So finally its available for public; expect it to be in Beta for a while. Download and have fun:

Yeah been using it a lot.
Everything works like a charm.

Only Debs and RPMs are available right now but you can also get for other OSes. I use it in ArchLinux after installing via AUR.

I just threw away epiphany and am also removing kazehakase and arora from my PC now that Chrome is out, for use as secondary browser.


By first-trial-lucky guesswork without bothering to read the manuals, I discovered a nifty trick.

You can edit the launcher and replace
Code:
chromium-browser %U
with
Code:
chromium-browser --incognito
And it will start incognito session by default. Good for all of you who don't want your browsing session to be stored for i-dont-know-what reasons

Thanks for that trick MHG sounds cool for an error prone guy like me .

BTW I cant seem to login into TDF forum using Chrome; What about you guys?
