What do you mean by Gnome crash??

You have to start a session in either Gnome or KDE, however, that does not mean you cannot access the others applications. For example, I run Ubuntu, which has Gnome, but I use applications like klipper and kdf which are KDE apps, in the same session. Isn't this what you want? If yes there's nothing special to be done, just install the applications.
