I do get sound in Gnome, but when ever I log into KDE the sound goes away, and when I login back into gnome the levels of all sounds and system bells gets reset to lowest level. How to fix this issue? Also which video player should I use for gnome ? I tried Xine 1.1 srcs, but it gives error that it can't find glibc-2.2 and refuses to install ,though FC3 has glibc-2.3.

fire up KMIX and see that u don't hv master and pcm muted. then go to control center -> sound. there look for administration and see wat kind of sound server u r using. if u r using ALSA >= 1.9 then select threaded OSS server.
as for video player. go for mplayer. |
