Default Need help with Zenwalk.


Installed Zenwalk today and boy ain't it fast!!
But need some help:
1. How to install nvidia drivers?
2. Can't change resolution above 1024x768. I need 1680x1050.

shouldn't sh ./package_name.run will install nvidia driver

No it asks for a kernel to be compiled.
I did this:
1.Ctrl+alt+f2
2. Init 3
3. cd /home/sunny/Desktop
4. sh nvidiaxxx.run

The setup started,it asked that no kernel found on nvidia site it'll have to compile it. I continued and installation failed WTF.

You need kernel header source. Infact you need this while compiling it in any OS.

Just install the kernel header and source packages and the nvidia package will automatically compile the driver and install for you.

And also make sure that you've installed GCC too... its required..
