Default Temp. Monioring Util/ Command ?


Is there any CPU / SYSTEM temperature monitoring util or command for Linux /

I want to monitor it .. ?

You can install lm-sensors and/or the sensorsd daemon and use a front-end to monitor temps/fan speeds. Check if the sensor on your mobo is supported by either of these two modules.

cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM/temperature
should tell you the processor temperature

^^^ That would be active only if the correct sensor modules are loaded.

Thax.. I knew lm_sensor existed but thought it cam preinstalled
