Why doesn't Digit start something like this. Instead of having silly contests where prizes are won based on pure luck. developers can write open source projects and Digit can give away prizes.

No offence, but Digit isnt rich to give 4500 dollars as prize money ...
Besides, ppl here mostly are not programmers... only a hand few or a bunch of programmers are here.

Programmer ==> Elite and able to code according to the client's need.
