Default OpenSuse 11.1 1 Day to go

have one doubt... can I update my opensuse 11.0 to 11.1 using the installation DVD without losing any data???

started downloading... since my connection is only 512 kbps and unlimited usage is from 10 to 8, it will take 3 more days to compelte....

noone answered my query .... can I update without lose of data???

yes and if you have not made any custom compiled program with particular dependencies for it and other experts may guide you on the same.
