Default Release Schedule of upcoming major distro

Hi All
Development in Linux never stops , sometime it amaze me how devoted these guys are.. Just after their new release they plan for another release

So here is a thread which will list the release schedule of upcoming major Linux OS..

Mandriva Spring 2009.1
  1. Mandriva Linux 2009.1 Alpha 17/12/2008
  2. Mandriva Linux 2009.1 Beta 1 16/01/2009
  3. Mandriva Linux 2009.1 Beta 2 09/02/2009

  7. March 26th, 2009 - Beta release
  8. April 16th, 2009 - Release Candidate
  9. April 23rd, 2009 - Final release of Ubuntu 9.04


Fedora 11
  1. 2009-01-20 Alpha Freeze
  2. 2009-02-03 Alpha Release
  3. 2009-03-03 Feature Freeze--Planning & Development Ends
  4. 2009-03-10 Beta Freeze | Software String Freeze
  5. 2009-03-24 Beta Release
  6. 2009-04-07 Software Translation Deadline
  7. 2009-04-14 Final Development Freeze
  8. 2009-04-28 Preview Release
  9. 2009-05-12 Compose & Stage Release Candidate
  10. 2009-05-26 Fedora 11 Final Release


Open SUSE will release their new version 11.1 within 5 days so release schedule of 11.2 hasn't been decided.. Some other distro like Sabayon will release its new version i.e. Sabayon 4.0 by 25th of December , release date of Debian and Dreamlinux hasn't been cleared ..

Dude i tried Mandriva 2009 but except KDE 4.1.2 there is nothing special.Even the partition manager also strange.
Fedora is good......got to learn it.......

Been dissappointed on the Fedora front. Downloaded the DVD but it doesnt show install menus correctly(garbled). Tried the CD but it fails during the Live Mode at autologin It hangs after that.

Debian has this policy of releasing things when it is ready . I have been waiting for lenny to go stable and I has been months. It was SUPPOSED to be released in September 2008.

I find MDV partitioner [installer ] better than Ubuntu. As far as uniqueness none distro has some killer features. The main features lies in the core software like package manager , GUI installer and tools..

lol....according to you then it is better to assemble everything (kernel, apps.......) and make our own distro or even customise arch.
