I am about a purchase a LAPTOP which comes with free dos or linux installed,,Few models available in markets are from HCL,DELL VOSTRO ,i feels they have low Hardware Configuration,, in short i need a High End laptop of 2GB RAM,Graphics Card(Definitely i hate Windows)... i prefer to choose ELCOT LAPTOP bundled with SLED 10(SUSE),which comes with 3 Years international warranty,,which is really amazing. Check out Software bundles with this laptop, HI Guys have anyone purchased this laptop ,if yes, please share your review or experience about using it or your thought on buying this laptop.. I for one don't know about ELCOT as I have never heard or heard little about them. On the name value, I would go with DELL, not sure if Linux based DELL laptops are being sold here in India.
A quick dig brought out http://search.ap.dell.com/results.as...at=all&x=0&y=0 |

Dell does not offer Linux systems in India.
Go for the ELCOT, or any normal Dell would suffice too. There is great support available both at the kernel, and application levels.
