help with my wireless card in ubuntu

i have an intel pro/wireless 3945 card. i installed ubuntu ultimate 2 days ago. i also made a dual boot with vista.
both are working fine.... but the wireless network is not working in my ubuntu.... that wifi light itself is not turning on even if i press Fn+F2....only bluetooth icon turns on..... and ofcourse, wireless network is not functioning.....
i did the software update, even after that its not working.... i dont know what to do.... so pls anyone who knows what to install/where to search for it to work perfectly...pls guide me...
i am a noob in linux...so little bit in detail explanation is appreciated....

u might need to use ndiswrapper..there are many how-to's..just google them..
