Download supergrubdisk from http://www.supergrubdisk.org/ and boot from it. Select the option which says windows : ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
This will restore the Windows boot record.

Now in Windows open Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management
and in that click on Disk Management System
You can see your linux partitions as unknown partitions, right click and format them

You cannot use OpenSUSE install DVD as a live DVD

Boot from Win XP cd and choose Recovery mode and enter fixmbr and fixboot to restore the MBR and then follow the Step 2 from Nucleus:
"Now in Windows open Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management
and in that click on Disk Management System
You can see your linux partitions as unknown partitions, right click and format them"

Recently I have asked the same question in opensuse forum. One guy suggest me following steps:
insert xp installation cx and boot from that cd.
when asked to install XP, take the run Rescue options.
you will be asked for admin password, if you dont have admin password, leave that field blank and press enter, you will be asked to choose the keyboard and which windows partitions to work on and you will return to a DOS prompt, and there you will type :
bootcfg /rebuild
give the 2 following commands in sequence:
fixboot
fixmbr
at these commands your will be ask questions and the answers are obvious. then boot into XP use the disk management tools to remove the linux partitions. (control panel/administrative tools/computer management/then disk management) the linux partition will be pointed as unknown partitions.
take your time and you will be back to your XP.
but when I tried
here are questions after typing bootcfg /rebuild : c:/windows add to boot list(yes/no/all)?
identifier ...? name for OS?
Also I want to know what are the questions will be asked after typing fixmbr and fixboot?

Nothing will change except it will restore the original bootloader in the MBR. Dont worry it would be a smooth ride. No sweat.
