Default IS NETWORKING POSSIBLE UNDER WINXP HOME EDITION

Sure, local area networking is possible under XP Home edition. Settings are similar to Prof. Edition with some minor caveats... Mainly, I think you should create new shares in safe mode as security settings can be accessed in safe mode only... On the administrative tools of control panel, you cannot manage shares either... So, other than those minor setbacks, you can have LAN...

BTW, this system is on WinXP Home and is connected to a network consisting of winxp, 2k and 98 systems...
