Default Prevent monotoring in registered wifi networ

I have to register my laptop with my college's wifi network in order to use it but if I register my laptop then they can monitor all my online activities. There's no privacy. Is there any way I can stop them from monitoring me?

^All colleges do that just by adding the user's MAC address to their system/router.
@op Proxy is the easiest thing to follow, but I doubt if it'd be enabled.

    Give this a try

    PacketiX.NET Secure Internet Service

This is a VPN over port 443 (99% open) which is encrypted and secure. I used this to bypass fortiguard internet filter at my college.

Since it is encrypted I guess its hard to monitor
