Default Lan prob

Lan is in differentt buildings, all the individual buildings r connected to a central lan, but they r not interconnected, that is the central lan can access other pcs but two buildings cannot access each other. so how to share files or anything across two buildings?

can you specify some stuff like

in the main building, are they connected to a HUB, or a server or what?

is it not possible to keep all the computers under the same workgroup ?

if u use a server in the main building, what OS does it have?

im guessing there must be a server, so u can just make a shared folder on it. then, if anyone wants to share a file, they can put it in there.

if u can make all computers under one workgroup, make sure they all got diff names and then they can all be part of one lan and can see each other in the network places or network neighbourhood.

but why cant they access each other? is it technically not happening or you dont want it to happen ?

the central LAN has to allow access between networks
the things is all buildig have diff networks. ..
and unless the central lan configures routing and forwarding u cannot enable sharing
