Buying advice:Switch or router or adsl router

hello everyone ,
i have bsnl 750Ul BB and have the old utstar modem blackone with no extra LAN port.now i want to connect my laptop and ext Hard disk with my PC and share the net connection and ext HD.
so what's your advice ?
1.A switch - so i can connect laptop & PC and have internet sharing but not Ext HD.
D-Link 5-Port 10/100 Switch (DES-1005A) OR TP LINK 5-Port 10/100Mbps Switch
2.A router - Same as above.With using net on wifi on my laptop and mobile. no models in mind.
3. A adsl+router - so i can connect laptop ,Ext HD & PC and have internet sharing .
is Netgear N300 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router (DGN2200) good for me.

does adsl+ would have any effect on net browsing.

Forget about Switch.
Modem Router is what you need.

my adsl which is quite old is running good for now but will definately buy a new (adsl+wifi router) instead of any repair.does migrating to adsl+router has any improvement on net connection.i can wait but my main concern is to have my both PC connected with net.

You are not gonna experience any speed improvements.That depends upon your connection,isp and subscription Plan.

How about this router "Netgear N300 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router (DGN2200)" is this a good for me ? has anyone has experience on this make working and netgear service?
