i wanted to make a LAN connection from my pc to my neighbours pc, but dont know how to go about. the distance is around 30 meters. is it possible to make such aconnection? What wire will i have to use? will i be able to play multiplayer games from both the pc's. how muck does a lan card cost, and how much wil the wire cost. |

Get 2 Network Cards[also called as LAN cards or adapters] one for each.
Wire: Get UTP[Unshielded Twisted Pair]CAT5 crossover cable.Ask your dealer or anyone who deals with network equipment he should be able to provide you the same. Multiplayer Games? Hell yes ! You could share resources[folders/files] & play games ! A lan card should cost you somewhere between 250-500 bucks a piece depending upon location & the brand. For setting up a LAN check out the tutorials posted in the "Tutorials" section.
