lan connection help

i am not able to connect my PC with my thoshiba laptop
with a lan card

plz help

what all to configure

check out method 1 that i have suggested there
in that .. u dont need to click to share the internet connection .. unless u want to
and if u are not sharing the connection .. then u can set the ip to what u want too
select which folders u want to share and u should be up
dont forget to configure ur firewall for this network ...
u can also use the inbuilt utility in win xp to setup the connection

Is it without hub ? or with hub ?
