should my pc need a upgarde or need some modification

Hi friends, my pc's configuration is:
1) motherboard Asus P5RD1-VM(up to 128 mb graphics card onboard shares system's ram)
2) 1 gb DDR ram
3)80 gb IDE hard drive
4)DVD-RW drive
5)Intel P4 HT 3.06Ghz processor
6.) Lg 17'' crt monitor with anti glare screen
7)win xp pro,i ball atx cabinet
8) Creative 2.1 SBS speakers

sometimes while using net,i am only able to run either Firefox or u torrent, i think it is due to less ram or bandwidth( i have bsnl broadband). i also love to play games like call of duty, NFS(Most wanted is mu fav.).....but iam unable to play crisis,MOH airborne...though i managed to play cod4 with low system config.


as new softwares and games demands more rams ...waht should be changes for my system...should i upgrade whole system or slight modifications would be enough...
if possible i would like to have 3gb or more ram...

please give ur suggestions with cost and configuration.what would i get if i sold my old pc

I dont know the resale value, u may check that by put ur parts on sale in Bazaar section or ask any local vendor...
My sugg is Go for a complete upgrade....
A total of 30-35k will need to get a reasonable gaming rig...
I suggest u the below config..
E7200 - 5.3k
MSI P35 Neo F - 4.4k/MSI P45 Neo F - 5.6k
2GB - 1.8k
WD 250GB - 2.1k
ViewSonic 19" LCD - 8.5k(I forgot the model no)
Zebronics Cabby - 1.5k
PowerSafe 500W Silver PSU - 1.7k
Palit HD4850 - 9.7k
Total = around 35k..its the best u can get and u can play all the new games..
The decision is urs...

35k is a big amount ...not affordable budget would be near 15 k..
could there any combination of motherboard+processor+ram+HD only with in this range

is mine old processor could be used.
