hi guys,
just name some must have symbian apps u use and iff possible give a short review of that too

for start
corecodec core player
very good media player for symbian phones.....main thing it allows u to play flv files!
and plays almost any kind of media files

LCG slick
this is an IM software in which u can easily login to multiple IM protocols like yahoo, gtalk, msn...ets and allows sendin and recieving files and can open images in itself....!!!
plus the other person would never know{until u tell him/her} u r chatting via mobile rather than a pc

^^ well i really found better sound via LCG Jukebox or there no other point for using LCG jukebox especially when you edit the LCG EQUALIZER according to your settings

well should i post 5 band equalizer here from which i get loud and much better sound via default music player

Well technically LCG Jukebox does not increase sound quality. It is the same as the default music player. It's just that the equalizer in Jukebox works better than the one in the Music player, which is why you get the feeling that it sounds better. Otherwise with the equalizer at normal (or flat) both the players sound the same.

Also you don't really need Mobitubia if you have Core player as there is built-in YouTube player in Core Player. Core player really is awesome. Whereas the built-in Real player in my 5700 cannot even play 30 fps QVGA videos smoothly, Core player can play even 30 fps VGA videos! Heck it even played the Smoking Apples podcast perfectly with all the chapters and different embedded images, something which only iTunes does properly.

Another small nice app is Large Time Screensaver. After installation you get an extra option is the screensaver option of large clock. Selecting that will display a large clock instead of the smaller default strip.

i dont know why i find operating coreplayer difficult..i just cant get use to it...! But anyways this is the best out there! Especialy in playing flv files! These days i have n80 in hand( this phone isnt that bad as u guys said atleast not for 6.5k i think) and the coreplayer was the only to play flv files full screen!

You can change the controls in Core player to suit your preferance. I have changed the entire keypad configuration in my Core player to same as in Jukebox. Now it is easier to control the player.

@girish : you can hack ur s60 browser to download any file type using the coreplayer & yTasks trick.

A few more Mobiola webcam, Mp3cube, Resco news,Abbyy Business Card Reader, Nokia internet radio, Signsis, Ybrowser, Smartget, PythonS60, emTube etc.
Also try Resco Photo Viewer , much better than the inbuilt viewer imho.

Here is a fun app "WaterBox". It uses accelerometer to simulate water movements. Its kinda relaxing to watch

@MasterMinds : I am using N82. In older phones like N73 & N80 u can download any file type afaik. But in the newer phones like N82, N95 etc u can't. U can only download phone supported formats. But through the hack i mentioned above u can.

A few more Wefi, StoegerTicker.

Also try Quake 1 & 2 for S60

the bad thing about N80 is it's awkward resolution
