Nokia N85 and N79 leak today, official tomorrow

The two new Nseries members – Nokia N79 and Nokia N85 made their debut a day earlier than expected. Photos of the two devices and some more of their specifications appeared online today. They will both run the Symbian OS with S60 UI and will come with the Feature Pack 2 preinstalled.
Nokia N85 will have dedicated game keys and support for N-gage platform for a great gaming experience. The handset will pack an exiting 2.6” 16M AMOLED display, which will be the largest of its kind among GSM phones. In addition the N85 will feature a 5 megapixel camera, WLAN and 3G with HSDPA support. A microSD card slot will allow expanding the built-in memory. The built-in GPS will allow geo-tagging of the photos taken with the camera.

The Nokia N79 is supposed to be a fashion-oriented handset with replaceable back covers. It will also come with a 5 megapixel camera, which will be complemented by a dual LED flash and a protective cover. Among the other features are Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G as well as a microSD card slot. A 4GB card is expected to come in the retail package.

Both the Nokia N79 and Nokia N85 will be available as early as next month but their retail price is yet unknown. Stay tuned for the official announcement at 10:00 CET tomorrow.

Hmmm... The N79 keypad looks to me like the 5500 Sport. Not that it's a bad thing. N85, well, looks just like N81.

Both r real cool phones......Yes this is 4 sure now...V r seeing as price drop in N82 soon.....

N79 will come with three bundled smart covers...Hmmm...I gotta wait a little longer now...Will it b N79/N82 or N85 4 me????

I was almost set to buy Nokia N82 & was even ready to work with it's keypad design which I don't like 100% but Nokia N79 physically is all I ever wanted from a Nokia Phone

. I hope the specification is somewhat like Nokia N82 (128 MB RAM, CPU etc)...if it is then I am buying N79 instead in decembar.

But N79 does not come with a Video Connectivity Cable...But its looks r stunning....It has 10 try and buy games out of which one can b chosen for a full licence. I am already in love with this device...But will still wait for its reviews 2 come after it is launched in Dec....

Specification wise N79 is same as Nokia N82 but with a better keypad design. I hope Nokia releases it in black color or I will buy the gray one.

Now waiting for reviews, I hope it has 128 MB RAM & the same 369 MHz ARM 11 CPU of Nokia N82

nokia outdoing itself .. n85 looks better than n96 to me .. thank god none has xenon flash .. so n82 still rules .. these handsets will lower the price of n82 .. two more fast symbian handset to nokia lineup .. now no one will complain that symbian is slow ..though both have navi wheeel as well as fm transmitter which n82 lacks ..and dual led flash which can used while video recording as well ..
n85 has usb charging as well .. man i liked n81 design .. i am loving this n85

Ok found some info..

Nokia N79 Specification on GSMArena

It has same 369 MHz ARM11 CPU as Nokia N78. I still don't know how much RAM it has but Nokia N85 has 128 MB RAM out of which 75 MB is available after boot.

I am not sure but I have a feeling that the N79 will have 96 MB RAM.... same as N78.

I say this because N85 has 128MB RAM and 75MB of free RAM.... and N79 has 50 MB of free RAM. Of course we are all interpreting free internal dynamic memory as RAM but I am again not too sure whether that's the case or whether Nokia is referring to pure internal memory.

hmm..n85 has all that the n96 was supposed to have excluding the internal memory..but it does indeed include a 8 gb memory card in the package and has OLED type screen....same design and better battery...so the pricing of both will be in the same range i guess(30k)

can any one tell what r the adv of this OLED screen ?

Nokia E51 has 96 MB RAM & while using it, I found it preety fast for my needs. iF N79 is able to give same performance then I got no reason not to buy it.

nokia is going to make a killing in 14-22 k segment with n78 , 6220 , n82 , n79 and n85 ..

i really liked n85.. but its price will be high initially .. if its under 20k , i might get it ..
